Meet Dr. Kiranjot Dyal
Why did you decide to become a dentist?
When deciding on a career, I was torn between wanting to become a dentist and a psychologist/psychiatrist. After speaking to my uncle who's in the dental field, he said you can be both as a dentist.
My goal as a dental provider is to offer compassionate care for my patients and make them feel as stress-free as possible. I believe that knowledge is power, so understanding the treatment needed, why it's necessary, and how a problem can be prevented in the future is extremely important in bettering the overall oral health of my patients and the general public.
Where did you study dentistry?
After finishing dental school at Western University of Health Sciences, College of Dental Medicine, I completed my general practice residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, where I was exposed to more complex cases. During this time, I was able to excel in my surgical skills and learn how to comprehensively treat patients of all ages with medical complications. Thereafter, I embarked on learning more about ways to provide comprehensive and cosmetic dental treatment through my training with the Spear Education in Scottsdale, AZ. I look forward to further enhancing my skills, as each and every patient provides a learning opportunity to be a better clinician.
Outside of the dental office, what do you like to do?
I often find myself exploring new places through outdoor activities, restaurants, and visiting special attractions. I am extremely close to my family and friends like family, and enjoy hosting and cooking new recipes for them. I'm a huge sports fanatic, and grew up playing soccer and softball. As a Bay Area native, I support all Bay Area teams and love the 49ers unconditionally, despite their post-season upsets.
